    About

    • Module: CMP416
    • Title: Advanced Digital Forensics
    • Overall Module Grade: B+

This module was split into two units. Unit 1 consisted of a theoretical digital forensics investigation using a forensic methodology researching a botnet threat resurfacing. Unit 2 consisted of a case study performing packet analysis on three Wireshark capture files to uncover suspect names and their meeting location.

I enjoyed learning statistical analysis, using common detection tools like Snort for the first time and revisiting my Wireshark skills. It was pretty fun doing the case study and uncovering more about the suspects throughout the investigation leading me to eventually finding the meeting location. You can find my two reports below!
